Remembrance Day Ceremony Celebrates Diversity
A Remembrance Day ceremony at Aldergrove Public School that highlights stories of courage of Canadian soldiers and historic allies from the Commonwealth of Nations.
 
Soldiers and historic allies include:
 
  • Noor Inayat Khan (a South Asian woman who worked with British intelligence)
  • Bi Cuide (a member of the Chinese Labour Corps)
  • Canadian Commander James Campbell Clouston
  • Indigenous veteran Tommy Prince
  • The Chinese Canadian paratroopers, Project Oblivion
A special adaptation of the book Peace Dancer by Roy Vickers and Robert Budd will also be performed.
