YRDSB Students Place Top Three in the World at DECA International Career Development Conference
Aurora, ON – Four students from Pierre Elliot Trudeau H.S. placed in the top three at an international DECA event in Atlanta, Georgia.  
 
From April 22-25, the Pierre Elliot Trudeau H.S. DECA chapter competed against 20,000 students from around the world in a variety of business events at the International Career Development Conference in Atlanta.
 
Competing in events in the career clusters of marketing, business management and administration, finance, and hospitality and tourism, four students placed in the top three in the world. Thirteen students from the school placed in the top 10.

Sagaana Sivathason – 1st Place – Principles of Marketing
Chloe Chau – 2nd Place – Retail Merchandising Series
Kylie Yuen – 3rd Place – Principles of Hospitality
 
“I am so very proud of the successes and accomplishments of the PETHS DECA chapter,” said Lisa Wargo, Principal of Pierre Elliot Trudeau High School. “Their outstanding achievements are a testament to their hard work and reflect the dedication they have shown to earn their prestigious DECA awards.”
