York Region District School Board Trustees release revised Multi-Year Plan

Aurora, ON – The Board of Trustees for York Region District School Board have revised their Multi-Year Plan for the years 2014 to 2018.

As the governing body of the York Region District School Board, trustees are required to establish an annual Multi-Year Plan to guide system direction for a three to four-year period. The Multi-Year Plan is a reflection of emergent priorities identified by our educational communities.

“The overarching goals of the plan remain the same – student achievement and well-being, delivery of effective and sustainable educational programs and stewardship of resources,” said Anna DeBartolo, Chair of the York Region District School Board. “The revised plan places a greater focus on innovation and modern learning.”

“The Multi-Year Plan informs the Director’s Annual Plan, Board Improvement Plan and School Improvement Plans,” said J. Philip Parappally, Director of Education, York Region District School Board.

“To ensure we are equipping our students for the future, we need to continue to keep in mind the context in which we currently operate.”

You can see the revised Multi-Year Plan for 2014-2018 on the YRDSB website.
