Adult Literacy and Basic Skills

Please note that the Ontario Ministry of Education has issued an order to extend the closure of Ontario Public Schools until the end of this school year to interrupt the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The YRDSB is implementing a Learning and Caring plan so that all students may continue their learning during this period.  All current Continuing Education programs will now be using an online delivery model. Students are encouraged to connect with their teachers online.

At this time, the offices of Continuing Education Services are closed; however, staff are available to answer email inquiries.  Please note response times may be delayed.  Please direct your inquiry to with the program name in the subject line i.e. Adult Day School; Secondary Summer School; Night School; etc

Please continue to visit or the Board's twitter account for updates.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
