Job Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in the York Region District School Board’s (YRDSB) International and Indigenous Languages program. The YRDSB recognizes the importance of learning experiences involving International and Indigenous Languages.

YRDSB offers instruction in over 20 languages at 35 different sites to approximately 15,000 students each year - one of the largest programs in the province.

Our Board is the third largest school district in Ontario. Encompassing nine municipalities, York Region stretches from Steeles Avenue in the south to Lake Simcoe in the north.

We seek candidates who reflect and support the diverse perspectives, experiences and needs of our students and our community members. As a school board, our priorities are set out in the Board of Trustees’ Multi-Year Strategic Plan. To achieve those priorities, the Director’s Action Plan sets out organizational goals that align with the strategic plan and our Board’s Mission, Vision and Values.

These documents provide important information that may be beneficial to applicants.

Please visit YRDSB Careers for active job postings.

Volunteer Opportunities

We have many volunteer opportunities in the International and Indigenous Languages program.

We accept secondary students (grades 9 to 12) who are looking for volunteer hours.

Please e-mail international.languages@yrdsb.ca if you would like to volunteer in our program or learn more about volunteer opportunities.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering.
