Arts Secondary

We are committed to equity and excellence in Arts education for every student. All of YRDSB’s Secondary schools offer students courses in the Arts. Students can choose from Dance, Drama, Music, Media Arts and Visual Arts. Please visit your school’s academic calendar for course offerings.

We believe Arts Education is essential to students' intellectual, social, physical and emotional growth and well-being. Experiences in the Arts play a valuable role in addressing the diverse needs of our learners today.

The Arts can be powerful tools when they are integrated into other curricular areas, enhancing student engagement, achievement, and well-being. YRDSB believes in providing a comprehensive Arts program to our students that is inline with our Board Strategies.

YDSB also offers a 4-year Specialized Arts program for YRDSB students who are committed to achieving excellence in the arts.
