NEW Course Requirement

Students entering into Grade 9 in the 2024/2025 school year must complete a credit in Technological Education in their Grade 9 OR 10 school year.
Thank you for submitting your child's course selections. The course verification period will be the week of March 18, 2024.

Important Dates/Info for Graduates:

Tuesday May 21, 2024 - Community Involvement Hours Due
Friday June 14, 2024 - All non-YRDSB final course marks due to the Guidance Office

SHSM - Specialist High Skills Major

The Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program is for grade 11 and 12 students who wish to build their skills and resume through experiential learning in an area of interest. Our school offers the SHSM program in the following 5 sectors: Arts & Culture, Business, Construction, Health & Wellness, and Transportation. Book an appointment with your guidance counsellor to learn more!

CPR-C with AED & Standard First Aid
Negotiations and Customer Service
Mock Lecture and Campus Tour at Rotman’s School of Business, University of Toronto
Live and Recorded Music Workshops at Metalworks
Electrical Installation and HVAC Workshops on Trades Day at Centennial College
Level Up Skilled Trades Interactive Career Fair
Innovative Transportation and Careers of the Future in the Automotive and Mobility Sector, hosted by York University and Metrolinx
