Our School
History
Aurora Heights P.S. is named after the geographic area. The nearest major intersection is Yonge Street and Wellington in downtown Aurora.

Our school colours are red, black and gold and our mascot is the phoenix.

Facilities
Aurora Heights P.S. was officially opened in 1961 and was designed on two floors with six rooms per floor. In 1965, 1995, 2000 and 2001 additions were made to the building. Our most recent additions include a new gymnasium, six large classrooms and a Special Education room. This phase of construction also included reconstructing our former gymnasium into a Library Resource Centre. The office area was recently renovated and a Special Education office was added as well as teacher workrooms. The building is fully accessible to persons of disability including an elevator and specialized washrooms.

A committee of interested parents help to maintain and improve the overall appearance of our outdoor classroom in the schoolyard and other enhancements to our front garden areas.
