·         Anyone wanting to be considered for a scholarship requiring a nomination from the school should see Mrs. Durbacz in the Guidance Office
·         In addition, be sure to check out the university web pages for scholarship opportunities.
·         Scholarship information can also be found on the bulletin board located just outside of the Guidance Office.
 
 
OMEGA AWARD
The Omega Award is given to student/students who are heavily involved in and have done exceptionally well in academics, athletics and club activities.  Each student gains points for achievements in these areas.

ONTARIO STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
 
 
·         The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) offers a mix of grants and loans for students.
·         Students could be eligible for 30% off tuition.
 
 
 
Canadian Federation of University Women Scholarship - www.cfuwauroranewmarket.ca
 
There will be two $1000 awards available for eligible students from nine high schools in the Newmarket-Aurora area.  Each school will nominate one student for consideration.  Candidates must meet the following criteria:
·         Continuing her/his post-secondary education in 2013 at either college, university or  
                trades apprenticeship.
·         The winner must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
·         Special consideration will be given to a student who has overcome challenges.
·         She/He should have made a notable contribution to school or community life and        
               Could benefit from financial help and an acknowledgement of their hard work in high
                School.
·         Proof of acceptance to post-secondary.
·         Meet the application deadline of April 30th, 2013
