Shorncliffe Training Camp
This postcard was sent from Shorncliffe Camp in England, a holding location for troops destined for the Western Front. By December 1916, more than 35,000 Canadian soldiers were at Shorncliffe and neighboring camps. In 1917, the camp became a hospital for the Canadian Army Medical Corps.

Front of a postcard, it features a picture of the horses watering station at Shorncliffe Camp.

Backside of the postcard with a handwritten letter.
