Everyone’s War: Canadian Youth and A WWII 

Museum staff bring a selection of artefacts into the classroom and using artefact analysis help students further understand the roles of youth during WWII. Students will explore:

How teenagers and their families reacted to and supported WWII on the home front in York Region and across Canada.

Develop historical literacy skills through the use of primary sources.

Learn primary source analysis using a critical thinking approach.

This kit allows students to explore historiography in Canada during WWII. Through this study, students will be able to assess the impact the war & the war efforts had on youth in Canada at that time. The workshop kit includes four critical challenges, blackline masters and primary sources.  ​​
