Imagine, Create and Play on Family Literacy Day

To celebrate Family Literacy Day on January 26, the five Early ON Centres of the York Region District School Board are inviting families to join them for their special events. Participants will create art and have a chance to dance, sing and make snacks, all inspired through the reading of selected popular children’s books. No cost or registration required.  Join the fun at one of the following locations:
  • Armadale PS - Room 128 - 11 Coppard Avenue, Markham – 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.
  • Markham Gateway PS – Room 127 - 30 Fonda Road, Markham – 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • Walter Scott PS – Room 13 - 500 Major Mackenzie Drive East, Richmond Hill -8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • Woodbridge PS - Room 120 - 60 Burwick Avenue, Woodbridge – 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
  • Jersey PS – Room 101 - 176 Glenwoods Avenue, Keswick – 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
ABC Life Literacy Canada encourages families to “LEARN AT PLAY EVERY DAY”. Engaging in literacy activities as a family improves a child’s skills and also helps adults keep their skills sharp.
