November is Financial Literacy Month
York Region District School Board is committed to educating students about the value of financial literacy. Financial literacy is important so that individuals have the resources and skills to make responsible economic and financial choices.
Financial literacy is integrated into the current Ontario curriculum and taught in subjects such as mathematics, social studies, Canadian and World studies and business.
Financial literacy works to build understanding of:
- personal finance
- money management
- economics
- investing
