Notes on Translation
The electronic translation service on the York Region District School Board's website is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages, although an impressive number, this does not capture all languages or dialects. The basic translation’s goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material.
The York Region District School Board does not guarantee the quality, accuracy or completeness of any translated information. Before you act on translated information, the Board encourages you to confirm any facts that are important to you and affect any decisions you may make.
The York Region District School Board is committed to parent, family and community engagement, and it is our hope that by providing this tool on our website that we are making our information more accessible to families whose first language is not English and thereby enabling better engagement in public education.

Homework 4/13/2015 Posted: 4/15/2015 1:09:05 PM Children who are participating are asked to wear the colours of the Cuban flag (blue, white, and red), since we will be dancing the salsa.
- Read (20 min. minimum) This could be your Social Studies research reading.
- Math: Unit 9, Lessons 6 (text and coil). The Gr. 4s can do only half of the questions, as they have twice as many problems to do than the Gr. 5s.
- Spelling is due on Friday.
- Science worksheets are due tomorrow, which is when we have Science.
- Field trip permission forms (and money for the ROM trip)
- Play outside for awhile!

Children who are participating are asked to wear the colours of the Cuban flag (blue, white, and red), since we will be dancing the salsa.
- Read (20 min. minimum)
- Math: Finish Unit 9, Lessons 5 (text and coil). Also, get your Math test signed, if you haven't done so already.
- Continue writing your letter for "The Great Canadian Mail Race," if you can. You can do this on your Google docs, and I will be able to print it on Monday. We will finish the final copies and mail them then, because we ran out of time today.
- Science worksheets are due on Tues., which is when we have Science next.

4/2/2015 Posted: 4/15/2015 11:39:55 AM I do not assign new homework on holiday weekends. The children are to finish their Science worksheet for Tuesday, but I gave it out the other day, so many of them got them done already. It is due on Tuesday, which is when we have Science. The new Spelling is due next Wednesday. The "Multicultural Night" forms were sent home a few days ago. Please return your form with your child's name on it by Apr. 7th, even if you are not planning on attending, so we can plan accordingly.
