The Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program is designed to provide an opportunity for students to explore potential careers in the Sport Industry and gain valuable insight into their post-secondary choices.
Students can identify their interest in joining the program during the course selection process in Career Cruising when moving into grade 11. Successful applicants will then work towards completing the 5 deliverable components of SHSM in time for graduation with their OSSD.
Completion of the SHSM Red Seal designation does not guarantee entrance to any post-secondary program. Rather, the accumulated experience gained from participation in the component activities is intended to help each student make a more informed decision about their post-secondary program choice.
