 Keeping Our Students Safe during Drop Off and Pick Up

Safety in the Parking Lot and School Yard

As an environmentally focused school, our hope is that our students walk to school.  If students need to be driven to school please follow the expectations below in order to keep our students safe:

DROP OFF & PICK UP

· The front bus loop is for buses only.  No cars should enter the bus loop at any time.

· The drop off and pick up for students is on the East side of the school, markings are in yellow on the pavement.  Parents should use this entrance, drop students off and follow this around to the exit which is clearly marked.

· If parents wish to walk their children into the school, they please park in the lot or on the street and walk your child in through the front doors

At no time is parking allowed in the Drop Off/Pick Up Area beside the school

SUPERVISION

· Staff will be on duty to meet students arriving by bus as well as leaving at the end of the day

· Staff will be on duty in the student drop off and pick up area to meet students as they arrive.  Kindergarten staff will make sure that kindergarten students are also met as they arrive in the student drop off area.
