The students at DCPS have been learning about different ways to brighten the world and make a difference.

We are encouraging our students to begin a chain of random acts of kindness, by doing nice deeds for family, neighbours, friends, or community organizations from:

 December 2, 2013 to January 1, 2014

Kind deeds can be big or small. There are many ways to show caring and kindness. Here are some examples of kind deeds:
  • helping with the family pet
  • helping with chores at home
  • raking the leaves of a neighbour
  • helping someone shovel their sidewalk or driveway
  • donating to a food bank
  • surprising someone with a cup of hot chocolate or tea
  • paying for the car behind you at a drive-through
  • helping out at the humane society or another important community organizatio
When you complete your random act of kindness we ask that you:
  1. Write about it on the Kindness Card or on our school blog @ http://dcpskindnesscounts.blogspot.ca
  2. Pass the Kindness Card along to the recipient of the kind act, so that he/she can continue the chain of kindness and also share about it on our school blog.
*Please return completed cards to the school.

We hope that we can brighten our community and help instill some important character traits in our children through our kindness chain.

We look forward to reading your positive messages and hope that they will help inspire goodness from others!

 Kindness counts...Please pass it on!
