The following is an outline of our school Improvement Plan including highlights of some of the strategies to support student achievement.
Assessment to Improve Student Learning is the school's focus in the area of Curriculum Implementation. It is our belief that if students are assessed consistently throughout their school experience and receive appropriate feedback they will develop the skills necessary to become independent life-long learners.
Creating a Climate that fosters respect between students, staff and the community is the focus for effective schools. Character Education and Tribes will be used to raise student's awareness of how their behaviour and attitude contributes to a positive learning environment.
Expanding the involvement of parents in our school in ways that support and enrich student learning is the focus for parental and community involvement. With parents directly involved in supporting the academic pursuits of their children the message that school is important becomes more obvious for our students.
