The purpose of this document is to ensure an annual review of the specific leadership profile required by
Fossil Hill Public School.
Successful education requires collaborative partnership among the school, the home and the community,
and that effective relationships between the education system and the communities are prompted through
consultation, collaboration and strong communication programs. Our Principal would be a leader, an
educator, a learner, a listener, a strong communicator, a person with compassion, empathy and leads with
a strong equity lens.
Fossil Hill Public School is located in a developed community within the Vaughan area. The Public School
is a diverse community, in Woodbridge, west of Weston Road, south of Major Mackenzie. Our walking
community is also holding students for the new Kleinberg School. Our young families rely on our school
support systems to play an integral part in their child's education. The Principal’s focus is the development
of collaborative relationships in an inclusive learning and working environment; embracing the guidance
and care in our practice with a focus on student achievement and well-being, which sets the direction of
our work.
As an Administrator of Fossil Hill Public School and an educational school leader, leadership qualities are
pivotal to the development of exemplary teaching and learning, all in the best interest of fostering WellBeing and Mental Health, Championing Equity and Inclusivity, building Collaborative Relationships, and
Empowering Ethical Leadership in our community; in support of the enhancement of student achievement
and well-being. The role of the Principal at Fossil Hill Public School is to foster a welcoming, caring
community united to inspire greatness in each other and make a positive difference in the world.
