The Middlefield Collegiate Institute Students Council is the governing body of the student body. The purpose of Student Council is to provide leadership, to promote school spirit, to unify and to coordinate all student affairs, to oversee the operation of school clubs, functions and organizations, and to provide funding for same. Any actions or decisions of the Council is final and binding on the student body, subject only to the Principal's approval or veto.
Membership
All registered students of Middlefield Collegiate Institute are eligible and actively encouraged to become involved with the Student Council.
All organizations or clubs within Middlefield Collegiate Institute are eligible (although not entitled) to receive financial support from the Student Council. The level of funding is at the discretion of the Student Council.
