The NHS library is a Learning Commons (LLC) where students can meet friends, read a book, complete homework or work with a teacher on specific skills such as researching, questioning , critical thinking and communication through various media.

As a Learning Commons we are committed to providing a flexible learning environment that provides space for quiet study, independent reading, small group collaboration and subject specific instruction.

Thursdays after school you can usually find a small group of students tinkering with Makerspace ideas. Currently we are using CoSpaces and investigating VR.
We also have a new Book Club this year. You can follow them on our blog and feel free to join whenever they are reading something you may be interested in!
In addition to desktop computers, the library has access to laptops/chromebooks, macbooks, a SMART board, LCD projector, access to ipads and tablets, whiteboard table tops for collaborating, database subscriptions, printers and photocopier for printing in black and white as well as colour.

We are always open for suggestions for new purchases for our fiction and non-fiction collection. Speak with a staff member or add your input at
Our library staff:
