Board Reading Programs

The goal of the Borrow-a-Book Program is to strengthen the home/school literacy partnership to enhance each child’s school success.  Each student, JK to Grade 3, was given their own book bag to carry their books to and from school.   In the book bag, students may have their borrowed books (which they’ve selected from the book room, at a just-right reading level) and possibly a reading log. Thank-you to the parent volunteers who were trained and read with students as part of the program.  Children are encouraged to take their books home to share with their family on a daily/weekly basis, depending on the individual classroom teacher.  The Borrow-a-Book Program continues to foster a love of reading to enhance each child’s school success.
