The Mission of the York Region District School Board is “To advance student achievement and well-being through public education, which motivates learners, fosters inclusion, inspires innovation and builds community.”
We strive to provide a well balanced academic program that supports individual students as they develop into independent life long learners. Our programs also include active and varied co-curricular activities that engage students in school life and provide an avenue for the expression of athletic, artistic, musical and dramatic interests. Service learning, in which students help others, is also strongly supported by staff and the community and fits well with our emphasis on the promotion of equity and character.
