Forming the School Council 2022-2023
First Meeting: Thursday, Sept. 15th @ 7 PM
During the first week of school, nomination forms will be sent home with students for the positions on the council.
1. School council chair: helps to set the agenda for meetings with the school principal and facilitates discussion at meetings.
2. Note taker: captures the key ideas at meetings, so we have a record of our discussion.
3. Treasurer: keeps track of funds available for spending.
As a group, we discuss school issues, initiatives, and fundraising ideas. Over the past 4 years, the council has organized the building of the new playground, the playground painted games, and the purchase of technology for the school.
This year is Reesor Park's 50th anniversary! The council will definitely be involved in planning this special event!
