Dear Parents/Guardians and Families

Welcome to Regency Acres Public School.  Our school is an inclusive, engaging and exciting place to learn, have fun and build lasting relationships.  Our focus is to build a community where everyone is valued for who they are and feel a deep sense of belonging.  We teach and value the principles of having a "Growth Mindset" so that students are developing confidence in themselves as learners and demonstrating perseverance in all that they do. Our goal is to build empathy and leadership skills in our students which in turn creates a school culture that embodies collaboration and respectful interactions which support student’s achievement and well-being.

The staff members at Regency Acres are dedicated to high expectations for all students and they are invested in the success of every student.  Our team of teachers and support staff work very hard to ensure a supportive and positive learning environment for all students.  We believe that good teaching is key to student success and as such, staff engage in ongoing professional learning which are research based, creating high impact learning environments and positive outcomes.

Our school is a very buys place with many opportunities for students to participate in school life.  There are many extra-curricular actives available for students to join such as Band, Games clubs, Leadership Team, Knitting Club, Youth Space and number of sports teams. WE encourage students to become well rounded in their skills and interest and to use their talents and gifts to contribute to the school community.

Our parents, family members and community partners are an integral part of our school.  There are many opportunities for family members to be involved, share their voice and support the school. We have family members who volunteer, visit for special events and contribute to school initiatives.  We could not do all that we do with this support!  The School Council meets each month and all parents and community member are welcome to attend these meetings.  The home and school partnership is essential to the success of all our students.

We welcome questions, concerns or ideas for improvement.  We look forward in hearing from you.

In partnership with you,

Karen Mell

Principal
