Hello and welcome to all of our Rogers P.S. families!

Rogers Public School is known as “The Little School with the Big Heart!”  Our school is a vibrant and caring place where students are given the opportunity to grow academically, socially and emotionally.  We are proud of our students who make our school a wonderful, safe and inclusive learning environment each and every day.

We currently have approximately  410 students attending Rogers P.S., and close to 40 staff members including teachers, early childhood educators, educational assistants, administrative assistants and caretakers.  Rogers P.S. is also home to the North Area Gifted Program.  In addition, we host the virtual PrIDE program (Program for Individual Development and Enrichment) one day per week.

Quaker Hill Childcare is part of our school community that operates as an independent daycare run by Upper Canada Childcare.   The Childcare offers before and after care for school-age children, as well as full-day programming for children 18 months to four years old, as well as summer camp.

Each year we embark on another adventure of academic growth and exploration, and activities that support student achievement.  With our dynamic and dedicated staff, we continuously work to develop our cooperative partnerships between child, parent/guardians and educators.  We aim to help our students maintain strong mental and physical health while developing as motivated and confident learners.    Together with our home and school partnership, we support our students as they navigate through a world filled with endless possibilities.

This year as a school, we’re focusing on the following aspects as outlined in our School Improvement Plan:

  •          Equity and Inclusivity

  •           Literacy

  •          Mathematics

  •          Self-regulation and developing a Growth Mindset

  •          Student Leadership

A learning community requires the dedication of all stakeholders and it is our goal to work with you to make your child’s school experience a positive and happy one. We value your involvement and welcome you to our school. Please join us for our school-based community events whenever possible and by supporting our fundraising activities.  An excellent way to make your contributions to the education of your child is to attend our School Council meetings to hear about school initiatives and meet other community members.  Meeting dates are shared in the Weekly E-Blast to the community.

We look forward to working together with our families and community to provide an excellent educational experience for all our students.  Your feedback is always welcome.  Please feel free to contact the school office with any thoughts, questions, feedback or concerns you may have.
