History
Sharon Public School is named after the Town of Sharon. Our school motto is "open hearts, open minds, open doors to opportunities". Our school mascot is the Sharon Skyhawk.
School attendance boundary includes students from the Town of Sharon and surrounding rural community. Traditionally, the school population was a rural farming community. Over the past fifteen years, subdivisions have been built and the rural population has diminished to approximately 20%.

Facilities
Sharon Public School was officially opened in 1858. Extensive additions were added in 1954/1964/1966/2000.
The school is located south of the Town of Sharon and one kilometre from the highly populated City of Newmarket. We are located on Leslie Street, a very busy thoroughfare.
