Silver Stream Public School is committed to supporting the Trustee, Director and Board Improvement Plans. Five areas have been identified for focus in these plans: Literacy and Numeracy, Equity, Environment, Engagement and Well-Being.
The following is an outline of our School Improvement Plan that highlights of some of the areas of focus to support student achievement.
School Improvement Plan Goals:
- Students will demonstrate an improvement in their ability to think critically across all areas of the curriculum
- Students will demonstrate improvement in their ability to understand increasingly complex text by extending their understanding and analyzing text with support for their ideas
- Students will improve in their ability to justify and explain their thinking in a variety of problem-solving contexts
- Staff and students will develop an equitable and inclusive environment that is healthy, safe and environmentally responsible
- Students will be engaged through appropriate programming and learning experiences that are personalized and differentiated
