On behalf of the Summitview PS Staff, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our students and their families. We look forward to providing our students with a welcoming learning environment, where every student knows that they matter and belong.
Summitview PS is located on Main Street in beautiful, historic Stouffville. In the Spring of 2018, staff, students and the community had the honour of celebrating the school's 100th anniversary!
At Summitview PS, we strive to prepare our students for success now and in the future by developing critical thinking, collaborative skills, a growth mindset, and the understanding of our ability to make a difference as Global Citizens; as well as focusing on Math, Modern Learning and Mental Health. We work to provide diverse learning experiences in order to capture the interest of all of our students. The learning and safety of each student at our school is important to us.
We encourage our students to get involved in the school through many different extra-curricular activities such as sports teams, Social Justice Committee, Spirit Committee, Band, Choir, Robotics Club and many more opportunities that are offered throughout the year.
A strong school-home connection is essential to the academic and social-emotional growth of our children. It is important for Teachers, DECEs, Educational Assistants, Administration, School Council, Office Staff, Custodians and Parents/Guardians to work together to foster a positive, respectful and inclusive learning environment where all students have opportunities to be successful.
