Dear Families,On behalf of our staff, we would like to warmly welcome you to Terry
Fox PS. We are proud of our school, our community and the students we serve. Our staff, supported by families, is committed to creating safe,
caring, and inclusive learning environments in which students can thrive.
Our
school is more than just a building; it's a community of passionate educators,
dedicated parents, and curious learners. We recognize the immense impact of a
strong partnership between home and school. Your involvement in your child's
educational journey is invaluable, and we encourage open communication and
collaboration to ensure their success.
We are
committed to fostering a safe and inclusive space where students are inspired
to explore, question, and grow. Our dedicated staff is devoted to cultivating
academic excellence and spaces where all students can see themselves
represented in their learning and feel safe, included, and engaged. As we embark on this new academic year, let's
embrace the opportunities it brings. Together, we will continue to develop a
respect for diversity, and a lifelong love of learning. We look forward to a
year of collaboration, growth, and shared achievements!
We
are especially proud of our school name and work to honor Terry Fox, a Canadian
hero. We are the trailblazers and we represent courage, strength and
pride – all of the qualities that we value and attribute to Terry Fox. We
believe that “things are possible if you try,” and that when we work
together to achieve a common goal we truly have an impact in our school and the
community in which we live. We look forward to working together to
provide a positive learning and inclusive environment for each student at our
school.
We send home a weekly bulletin by email each Friday to keep
our families updated. Please do not hesitate to contact the school to ask
questions or express any concerns you have regarding your child or their
education. We welcome the opportunity to talk with you.
Yours in education,
Yours
