Participation in decision making is
very important to your children’s success. The school council is a partnership between school, family and the community. The focus is always on student learning. Parents play the first and most important role in their child’s education and are key partners in building a quality education system. By attending school events,
volunteering and fundraising, along with collaborating with the community, school council contributes to reaching a common goal….. improved student learning.

Currently the council is made up of a variety of members representing students across multiple grades. Programs are run by volunteers, some of whom are council members. All parents are invited to attend school council meetings, whether or not they choose to run for election.
