Family Studies Kicks it Up a Notch!
Welcome and thanks for visiting the Family Studies Department.
Family studies courses provide students with essential knowledge and transferable skills that are applicable in various areas of their lives - in their personal and family lives as well as in their postsecondary studies and in the workplace.
Family Studies enables students to gain insights into a wide range of factors that influence them and the world around them.
We hope to create lifelong learners who will be able to take not only the practical skills and apply them to everyday life situations, but take the critical and creative thinking skills learned and begin to question and differentiate the world around them.
Family Studies at Woodbridge College offers a range of courses and topics at all grades and levels.
From general Family Studies, Food and Nutrition/Food and Culture to Raising Healthy Children and Families in Canada every type of learner can find a course that suits them.
The Family Studies Department is committed to students and student learning by helping students appreciate their own identity, learn more about their cultural heritage, and gain knowledge and understanding of human development.
