A focus on student leadership: Students are involved in leadership and volunteering opportunities throughout the school in various positions. 

A focus on the arts: Students at all grade levels participate in an Arts and Science package focusing on Drama, Dance, Music and Scientist in the School activities.

A focus on athletics: Students are involved in intra-mural activities, extra-curricular and team sports. 

Our school:

Safe and Supportive Schools/Character Education/Equity Education
Every student has the right to learn in a safe and supportive environment. The York Region District School Board has a Safe Schools Policy and a defined procedure to implement the policy. Both the policy and procedure support the view that student discipline involves a continuum of support including prevention, intervention and appropriate consequences. The YRDSB remains committed to the inclusion of anti-racist and equity education in its policies and programs.

In addition, Devins Drive P.S. supports the development of character education in the York Region District School Board by building our capacity to utilize the language and elements of Character Education in our curricular and every day school life.
