History
Glen Shields P.S. is named after the street, Glen Shields, which in turn was named after the Glen Shields Golf Course that was previously on this site. A number of the streets that run off of Glen Shields are named after other golf courses in North America.
Our school motto is "Learning, Caring and Sharing."
Our school mascot is the Eagle.
Facilities
Glen Shields P.S. was officially opened in 1982.
A two-story addition was added to the original structure in the summer of 2000.
