Dear James
Robinson Public School Families,
We welcome all our new and
returning families and we hope you had a wonderful, relaxing summer and are
looking forward to the new school year. It is with great excitement that we join the James Robinson Public School Community. We are looking forward to a wonderful year of learning and fun together. As the administrative team of JRPS, we look forward to working with you to support student achievement and mental health and well-being. Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive relationship with our students, families, staff and within the community is at the forefront of our work together. We are committed to providing a learning
environment where everyone feels safe, welcome and respected.
Together, as a team of lead learners, we will strive to support all of our students to reach their fullest potential. We will set goals together, support the learning for all, and continuously challenge each other throughout this coming school year. Along the way, we will recognize individual and group successes – successes in academics, athletics, the arts, and those who lead by example in their day to day interactions. Further, we will strive to foster a learning environment where people of all ages work and grow together, experience the joy of learning, and develop the skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to be life-long learners and respectful, contributing members of society.
We recognize that the pandemic continues to affect our students, staff and families in different ways, and we will prioritize the health, safety and well-being of your child as we support them in transitioning back to school. We know many families have questions about what to expect this school year, and information and resources, including frequently asked questions are available and continue to be updated at www.yrdsb.ca/school-reopening.
We look
forward to speaking and working with you in the months ahead. Please do not
hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions. We welcome the
opportunity to speak with you. There
are many ways to stay connected to what is happening
in our school. Visit our school website and blog for up-to-date information
about events. You can also find updated information about the Board
at www.yrdsb.ca and Twitter @YRDSB.
We wish you all a happy,
safe and successful school year.
Sincerely,
Scott
