Our School
History
In September 1997, the student body and teachers from Keswick Public School moved a few blocks to their new school that is nestled in behind the post office on the old Keswick Arena site. The 7.48 acres of land is augmented by a joint-use agreement with the Town of Georgina allowing student use of the adjacent parkland. This park contains a regulation baseball diamond and a wood lot, complete with a stream.

Facilities
Since the September 1997 opening, many local improvements have been made to the facility of which the community is very proud. Lakeside P.S. students enjoy the use of playground equipment that was acquired through a long-term fundraising project.

Entry to the parking lot and parent “kiss and drop” loop is gained from Shorecrest Road. The segregation of buses from cars makes school arrival and departure one of the safest in the region. Lakeside is fully wheelchair accessible with automatic door openers and an elevator. The architectural design of the building is student focused. Kindergarten rooms have their own fenced outdoor play area. The centrally located library and gym complex is connected by a stage featuring a moveable wall. Video surveillance equipment has been placed strategically inside and outside of the building to support the Board’s Safe School Policy.
