Legacy P.S. is named after the development area immediately surrounding the school. The school is built in what was once the Town of Box Grove, at the intersection of 9th line and 14th Avenue. Our school was opened in September of 2006 with a student population of approximately 450 children.
Currently we are the learning base for 550 students. Legacy P.S. is already known as a school where children have many opportunities to demonstrate their individual strengths and abilities through a wide variety of activities. We are already very proud of our achievements, not only in the classroom, but also on the athletic field, the environment and student leadership. Our school teams are known as the Legacy Lightning and have already achieved considerable success across York Region. Students are also encouraged to participate in a number of extra curricular activities.
