Who is on Maple High's School Council?

Maple High’s School Council includes a group of elected parents, the Principal, a teacher, a non-teaching staff member, a student, and appointed community members. All the parents are unpaid volunteers. Elected parent members represent all the parents of students at Maple High School. Parents work co-operatively with school staff and the administration to build a strong school community that works in the best interest of Maple High’s students.

How can I join School Council?

Come to our next meeting! Every year, at the first meeting of the School Council in September,  an election is held for parent members. Up to thirteen parents may be elected as voting members of the School Council.

Can I attend a School Council meeting if I am not an elected parent member?

Yes! All parents of Maple High's students are always welcome to attend School Council meetings. Attend a meeting and check us out!
