Grade 9 Open Drama ADA 1O1

Prerequisite: None

This course emphasizes the active exploration of dramatic forms and techniques, using material from a wide range of uthors, genres, and cultures. Students will construct, discuss, perform, and analyse drama, and then reflect on the experiences to develop an understanding of themselves, of group dynamics, and the world around them

Grade 10 Open Drama - ADA 2O1

Students will construct, discuss, perform, and analyse drama, and then reflect on the experiences to develop an understanding of themselves, of group dynamics, and the world around them

Grade 11 College / University Drama - ADA 3M1

Prerequisite: ADA 1O1 or ADA 2O1

This course requires students to create and to perform dramatic presentations. Students will analyse, interpret, and perform works of drama from various cultures, including Contemporary Canadian plays and Shakespeare. Students will also do research on different acting styles and conventions for their presentations, create original works, and analyse the functions of playwright, director, actor, producer, designer, technician, and audience.

Grade 12 College / University Drama - ADA 4M1

Prerequisite: ADA 3M1

This course requires students to create and to perform dramatic presentations. Students will analyse, interpret, and perform works of drama from various cultures, including Early 20th Century works. Students will also do research on different acting styles and conventions for their presentations, create original works, and analyse the functions of playwright, director, actor, producer, designer, technician, and audience.​
