Community Involvement Ideas
We have created
a list of organizations and agencies which
students may contact regarding community involvement hours. Mulock
does not recommend or endorse one agency over another; this is a courtesy list
for students, parents and guardians.

To meet graduation
requirement students are required to complete 40 hours of community
involvement. When planning your community involvement, please keep the
following in mind:
- community involvement hours
can be denied by a school official if they are deemed ineligible.
- all community hours which
will be recorded for graduation should be approved by your guidance
counsellor before you begin.
- when you complete your
hours, ensure that the correct form has been signed by the Supervisor of
the Activity - who confirms the number of hours you did at the activity.
- return the completed form
to the Guidance Office
- students are encouraged to
maintain a personal portfolio of all community involvement
Here is the Community Involvement Form (as a fillable PDF) which includes a description of eligible and ineligible activities
Some tips for you to consider:
- if the organization is
not-for-profit, it's probably a good place to do community involvement
hours
- pick a charity that is
important to you; contact them and let them know you are available to help
- churches, mosques,
templates and synagogues are also good places to complete community
involvement hours.
- try to spread your
community involvement over your four years of high school.
