English Literature & Composition - Advanced Placement Preparation

This Pre-Advanced Placement Program course is designed to meet the expectations set out in the Ontario Curriculum as well as to prepare students to be successful in the Grade 12 Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition Exam. Students enrolled in an AP course are encouraged to take the Grade 12 AP Exam in order to attain an Advanced Placement standing in the area of study. The AP English Literature and Composition course is designed to be the equivalent of the general introductory English course usually taken during the first year of university. For some students, this course enables them to undertake, in their first year, second-year work in the English Literature sequence at their institution. For other students, the AP English Literature and Composition frees time for other courses.

COURSE NOTE: Prerequisite: Teacher Recommendation, Interview is required, ENG2D
