Environment
There is a strong concern for the environment at Roy H. Crosby that is supported by the parent community, teachers and the York Region District School Board.  Situated adjacent to the (300 acre) Milne Conservation Area, the school is home to the Milne Outdoor Education Centre.  Classes from regional schools visit the Centre to experience a variety of curriculum based programs in the out of doors with a focus on Environmental Literacy.  In addition, staff at Roy H. Crosby have formally identified Environmental Literacy as a priority and teachers take full advantage of the natural setting and resources available when programming for all areas of the curriculum.  Classes participate in ongoing recycling projects, programs such as the "litter less lunch" and a highly successful Earth Day that is held each year on April 22.

We are also very proud to offer the following programs to our students:
  • Outside performances supported through School Council fundraising
  • Ongoing and informal social skills counseling
  • Progressive Discipline Model
  • Student Leadership program
  • VIP program
  • Scientist in School funded by School Council
