At Stornoway, students are encouraged to take ownership for their learning and develop positive peer relationships. Our staff provide guidance and support, foster well-being, and help each student succeed and achieve high standards of excellence. We encourage students to embrace challenges, take risks, and pursue their passions, knowing that they have a supportive team of staff and community to cheer them on!

The Staff at Stornoway align Culturally Responsive Pedagogy to the School Improvement Planning Process to promote the idea that excellence and inclusivity go hand in hand, and that a truly excellent school is one where every student feels included and supported to be their best! We integrate inclusive practices, validating all learners in an Identity-Affirming environment facilitated by rich, authentic learning experiences. Parent Engagement is a strong focus at Stornoway Crescent P.S. , and we welcome Parents to engage in the learning alongside their children during special events highlighting Innovation, Heritage, Culture, Identity and Wisdom. These are a few examples of how we integrate inclusive practices into our academic programs and special activities.

At Stornoway Crescent P.S., we advocate for equitable access to educational opportunities and resources for all students, building a strong community of learners who strive for success. Our strong dedication to Equity and Inclusivity, ensures high academic standards and provides all students with the caring support essential for each one to achieve excellence.
