Math Department 412
Math Department
Thornlea's Math department prepares students for all levels of education and work after high-school. Our department offers a large variety of courses that will help students develop their academic skills, logical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Math is essential for students who will be pursuing studies in science, engineering and other related areas in post-secondary school. However, beyond that, math is an essential skill for everyday life, and we offer courses that will help those students who need to develop the essential math skills for life, work and business.

"Today’s mathematics curriculum must prepare students for their future roles in
society. It must equip them with essential mathematical knowledge and skills; with skills of reasoning, problem solving, and communication; and, most importantly, with the ability and the incentive to continue learning on their own." Ontario Ministry of Education
