Notes on Translation
The electronic translation service on the York Region District School Board's website is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages, although an impressive number, this does not capture all languages or dialects. The basic translation’s goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material.
The York Region District School Board does not guarantee the quality, accuracy or completeness of any translated information. Before you act on translated information, the Board encourages you to confirm any facts that are important to you and affect any decisions you may make.
The York Region District School Board is committed to parent, family and community engagement, and it is our hope that by providing this tool on our website that we are making our information more accessible to families whose first language is not English and thereby enabling better engagement in public education.

Dear Parents, Guardians and Families,
Welcome to Unionville Public School (UPS)! UPS is a one floor school located in the
heart of the Town of Unionville (est. 1794).
Our school sits on a beautiful property backing onto Toogood Pond (http://www.enjoyontario.ca/toogood-pond/
) and is mere steps to Main Street Unionville.
Our population is approximately 300 students from FDK through grade
8. Our students are the heart of our
school. Respectful, responsible, caring
and engaged, our students are fantastic!
We have many successful athletic teams and have won Gold in instrumental
music competitions.
UPS is actively involved through a wide variety of
initiatives in the areas of Eco, Healthy School, Community Outreach and Parent
Engagement. Our School Council members
are involved and engaged in our school as active fundraisers but more
importantly as co-leaders in our school’s areas of focus.
As a staff, we are focused on developing a common school
wide comprehensive math strategy.
Combined with mental health and modern learning foci, our school is an
engaging, inviting and exciting place to be!
If you have further questions about our school, please
contact the office at 905-477-1824 or via email at unionville.ps@yrdsb.ca
