Welcome to Whitchurch Highlands Public School! We are a small school in a rural area of York Region, surrounded by 14 acres of nature and bordered by a small forest and farms. We have plenty of room for our students to play, explore nature and participate in sports.

Our students strive to reach their personal best and learn about each of the YRDSB Character Traits to support their growth.  They hard-working and enjoy leadership opportunities, clubs and teams.  Our students are taught to be critical thinkers and upstanding citizens and to recognize that every kind act, no matter how small makes a difference. 

Students and staff work together to build and maintain inclusive and welcoming environments throughout our school.  To ensure every student feels safe, cared for and included is our work and focus every day.  We believe that this is everyone’s responsibility. Our daily announcements, assemblies, activities, lessons, clubs and student-led initiatives aim to give everyone the tools they need to build a culture of care and acceptance.

We have a very supportive parent community who are involved in many activities - School Council, volunteers in the classrooms, support for academic learning, and supervisors during our lunch hour. We strive to build strong partnerships with all our parents and welcome their support and involvement. We welcome families to all School Council meetings and encourage all families to stay connected through classroom and school newsletters. 

Here at Whitchurch Highlands P.S. we recognize that are all members of the W.H.P.S. Wolf Pack and we demonstrate this by supporting one another, being inclusive, being responsive and by demonstrating respect.  Although we are proud of our accomplishments, we strive to improve every day.
