Bayview Hill School and Community

Bayview Hill E.S. is an attractive, modern, two-story K - 8 facility, officially opened in 1991 and located at 81 Strathearn Avenue. The school is named after the community that the school services.

The attendance boundaries are Major Mackenzie Drive to the north, Sixteenth Avenue to the south, Bayview Avenue to the west and Highway 404 to the east. We have a rich cultural diversity within our school, and strive to be inclusive of all traditions and backgrounds. We appreciate and celebrate our differences. Approximately 25% of our student population is learning English. In addition to our regular programming, we have two community classes; one class is a Primary/Junior Autism class and the other is a Primary/Junior Social Adjustment class. Monthly, our school mascot, the Bengal Tiger, delivers certificates of character to students who have been recognized for their positive contributions to our school community.

Our current enrolment is 862 students. Classrooms are located in the main building and in portables at the back of the school. Bayview Hill offers many special features including a computer lab conveniently located in the library, a music room and a spacious and well-stocked library. We are equipped with several carts of laptops/ipads for classroom use and every classroom has a Smartboard and LCD projector. Students enjoy a large playground, adjacent to a community park and this is accentuated by a large play structure and a play structure specifically for our full day Kindergarten students.
