School Improvement Plan
Brownridge P.S. is committed to supporting the Board's literacy focus under the three Board focus areas of Quality Schools, Building Family and Community Capacity and Quality Workplaces
 
The following is an outline of our school's Plan for Continuous Improvement including highlights of some of the strategies to support student achievement.
 
Curriculum Implementation and Student Learning:
A focus for Brownridge Public School is to support measurable progress for regular class, ESL and Exceptional students in the area of Literacy (language and mathematics). Strategies to support this priority are: Literacy across the curriculum, an integration of literacy and the arts, integration of special needs students, specific resources, and support from Child and Youth Workers, Educational Assistants, Classroom, Resource teachers, Literacy teachers and Administration.  Assessment and Evaluation is a key component to tracking this priority.
 
Effective Schools:
A focus for Brownridge Public Schools is to support a safe and secure environment.  Strategies to support this priority are clear and consistent discipline, behaviour feedback, character development and a common vision of Acceptance, Dignity and Excellence. 
 
Parental and Community Involvement:
A focus for Brownridge Public School is to encourage parental involvement in student learning.  Strategies to support this priority are through volunteering in the school, strong communication links between home and school, and homework completion.
