The electronic translation service on the York Region District School Board's website is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages, although an impressive number, this does not capture all languages or dialects. The basic translation’s goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material.
The York Region District School Board does not guarantee the quality, accuracy or completeness of any translated information. Before you act on translated information, the Board encourages you to confirm any facts that are important to you and affect any decisions you may make.

My child is ill. What do I need to do?

My child has been ill for several days and is falling behind in his/her school work. Is there anything that can be done to help him/her?
Contact the Guidance Office after your child has been ill for at least 3 days. The secretary will co-ordinate the collection of work from his/her teachers. Please allow the teacher 24 hours to put the work together.

We are going on vacation during the school year, what do we need to do?

Please have your child pick up a green attendance absence form from the Attendance office, and ask each teacher to fill in what work needs to be completed. Once all teachers and a parent have signed the form, please return it to the Attendance office. |

When are Examinations being held?
Semester One exams are scheduled from January 22nd to January 28th, 2016. Evaluation review day will be on January 29th..
Semester Two exams are scheduled from June 21st to June 27th 2016, with Evaluation Review on June 28th.

What happens if there is an inclement weather day during the Exam period?
If school buses are cancelled Board wide due to weather conditions, exams from that day will be written on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 9 am, with Evaluation Review in the morning of February 2, and Semester 2 starting the afternoon of February 2 (shortened schedule).
