A Dual Credit course allows senior students to earn high school credits and college credits at the same time in the same course.

You can experience college life while still in high school, at no cost to you.
 
This is an opportunity to try something new while exploring different program pathways.
 

Course Selection

The holding codes for Dual Credit courses are as follows:

     YYY4X1 for one course
     YYY4X2 for two courses
     YYY4X3 for three courses
     YYY4X4 for four courses
 
  • Please note that selecting a course on Career Cruising, is only the start of the registration process. After reviewing the course descriptions and selecting your preferred course(s), please see your guidance counsellor.
  • Talk with your guidance counsellor about the need for designing a schedule with flexibility in your timetable to accommodate the dual credit course and transportation time to and from the college.
  • ONLINE REGISTRATION for a Dual Credit course will take place starting early April at www.yrdsb.ca/dualcredits .  Check with your guidance counselor.  Completed and signed forms need to be completed and submitted back to your guidance counsellor as soon as possible after this time.
  • Your guidance counsellor will send your registration forms to the Regional Dual Credit
    Teacher.
